I just had a few lingering questions about the possibilities of using this. I want to see if anything actually happens with IFTTT this time.

Length Test Run
So now my hypothesis is that to solve any issue of the entire post showing up as a status, we would just have to make sure that the posts are "incredibly" long or just longer than a few sentances. If anybody actually sees this I'm just going to copy and past from an essay so don't bother reading what I wrote. and Tanner I'm sorry if this shows up on you Facebook. Throughout the history of the American nation, it has been said that God has guided, protected, and has helped our people assemble a nation of true freedom. However, there have been times that as Americans, we have denied some groups of individuals (whether it be women, Japanese, Native Americans, or LDS people) freedom. One might come to ask whether or not the Constitution and all of its principles are inspired by God, or if they are mere fabrications of man. Through the readings of apostles, prophets, and other church leaders, one begins to understand that the true meaning of a divinely inspired constitution is one that stands as the most perfect standard of freedom that men are capable of and one that was set up for the Lord’s purposes. Constitutional principles such as sovereignty and freedom of the people have always been heralded as having come directly from God. However, critics say that the Constitution was not divinely inspired because it has historically not protected every individual. Why would God allow for persecution of the LDS people? Why would God allow for the degradation of African-Americans? Why would God allow man to oppress women for so long? It is not that the Lord intended the document to be one of absolute protection, but instead he set it up in order to be the most perfect document that man could handle. It was to stand as Neal A. Maxwell stated as a “beacon of freedom.” But why couldn’t this document be perfect? Orson Pratt claims, “It was simply because the people were not prepared for it…” The Lord has given this great nation a Constitution that is not the absolute most perfect form of government because as men we do not yet have the capacity to follow and dedicate ourselves to God’s law. In our own self-interest, we are enemies of God’s law. We are not charitable, we steal, we fight, we worship false idols, and we do not have a high enough degree of virtue. Although we may have higher degrees of these traits than ever before, we are still corrupt. The people of the United States cannot handle the Law of God. If one thinks for one instant on how we have mishandled and mistreated the Constitution by using it to protect many immoral things (drugs, alcohol, abortion, etc.), then what would make one think that we are capable of living the higher law of the Lord? The Lord placed the Constitutional law upon this land because it was the highest and most perfect form of government that we as a people can handle. Instead of allowing us to trash his higher and more divine form of government, Heavenly Father gave us the constitution so that we would have a government which we are capable of maintaining. After one understands why the Lord did not institute a perfect law amongst man, one must also achieve an understanding of why he would even bother to aid in the founding of a nation. Gazing upon the events of the past, one sees that only the freedoms granted by America could have allowed the restoration to take place. In no other country at the time of the founding was there any absolute toleration of varying religions. How then could the Lord restore his everlasting gospel upon the face of the Earth if it would only be shattered by existing governments who do not protect religious freedom? The first people to arrive in the “New World” were people who were escaping religious persecution. They fled to come to the great land in order to escape the persecution that they were experiencing in Europe because of their religious beliefs. Some may claim that it is an elitist perspective to believe that the United States was chosen specifically to allow for the restoration of the gospel. However, it was chosen so that the restoration could actually take place in a new nation where religious freedom is championed; Zion would not be crushed, tormented, deprived, and injured as the Quakers, Puritans, and Pilgrims had been in their native homes. Why restore the gospel in a nation where as soon as it was restored it would again be taken away? It is because of the United States’ unparalleled freedoms that the restoration of the gospel and opening of the last dispensation could even take place. The Lord had to aid in the founding of a new nation because old nations were too entrenched in their ways to allow for any changes to take place. He had to do it in a land where laws existed to protect and cradle the restoration in the latter days. The United States also has the “human and financial resources that (other nations) have been blessed with the gospel message,” as Elder L. Tom Perry explained. Without the natural wealth of resources available in America from its enormous human population and money, the gospel could not spread. Thus the Lord had to protect and provide for a great nation so that his message could be spread. In circumspection of church leaders both past and present, one begins to more fully understand the true meaning of a divinely inspired Constitution. It is not so much that the document is perfect, but rather it is the only document that man can handle with its naturally sown corruption. Heavenly Father also inspired this great nation because Zion could only be built in a nation that allows for religious toleration. It is also through our nation’s abundant resources that the good word of the Lord can be spread to all tongues and nations. This is the true meaning of a divinely inspired Constitution. It is not one that is perfect, but rather one that protects human freedom to the greatest extent possible in this world and one that allows for the achievement of the Lord’s marvelous goals.
Subject Line: Reruning rss tests
Body: So I was wondering how all of this plays out. The one hard thing about rss is that it doesn't show the url in the little box. If you click on it, it does connect to the blog, but it doesn't really tell you what the status is about. Would people actually realize and click the box? Its a good question, I'm kind of testing this out now to see if I can get it to do something.
